The pieces in"Unfurl" display Hannah's new unraveled approach to mark-making that is inspired by organic imager like shelf fungi, tunnels, and an eerie resonance with the inner workings of the human body. By challenging viewers to move beyond representation, the works in "Unfurl" encouragefluid and open-minded interpretation. Unlike her linoleu carvings, where you can make an infinite number of prints,dark field monotype only allows for a single piece of artwork, cultivating a sense of ephemerality similar to the natura imagery that influenced the series. This technique inspired Hannah to lean into the unfurling nature of her new style of mark making. She focuses more on the fluidity in her proces and less on the concreteness of the final product.
